These are the Papantla fliers, they go up this pole and then they do a little dance on top and then lower themselves down on the ropes and fly until they reach the bottom.

Our Mexican Cruise

We went off on a little adventure through the jungle on these rhinos and had a lot of fun, you can see by the bottom photo when we went through the river. Our guide said to drive through and he would catch the splash so I did it good and we both got soaked.

"We're all Alone"

It has been a week since Tammy and the kids left Bunkerville. I hate to admit it but it was really hard to see them leave. I am sure that the boys are excited that they can now truly become a true "BYU Zoobie". We may at times need to bring them back to Bunkerville to help them to avoid the indoctrination that takes place in Happy Valley. They begin to believe that there is no other team other than "The Cougars". ( I have no idea where that comes from, do you Chris?). We really have missed having them with us here at home. I don't get to watch Scooby-Doo, or Tom and Jerry or Land Before Time any more. I have never been in a house that is this quiet. It is not fun to come home from work early because there is no one here to play with. Thank you Tammy and Chris for letting us enjoy these last months with you and your family and watching your special family grow and just being able to spend Grandpa and Grandma time with them.
We are looking forward to next weekend to be with family for the blessings of two more Grandchildren. We are going to leave as soon as we get through at the Temple. We will pick up Jimmy and Meagan and Todd and Heather in Cedar City then we will be on our way north. We are going to go to the Oquirhh Mountain Temple Open House that night and than I think we are going to go all the way to Logan and meet Grandpa and Grandma Allen there and share a couple of Motel rooms with them that night. Then Sunday I guess we will just go from church to church to be with all of you.
As far as when we are going to Denver, I am really not sure. We may leave as early as Monday if I don't have alot of work. We will be going in the truck so if you need us to bring anything let me know. I am going to bring table and chairs and our bikes. We are anxiously awaiting the reunion.

Its wakeboard time!!!!

This is a quick note to all interested in going back to the lake again this year. As usual I will need to make a few repairs on the boat and one of them is to replace the covers. The sun has pretty well rotted them. If anyone has any extra centavos sitting around it would help to be able to get them replaced. The boat will be in St. George starting this week and will be available to use when you want to. I would really like to go to Lake Powell at least once this year. So lets make some plans. Maybe we could stay with Bashful Bob.

I just wanted to thank everyone who helped with Todd and Heathers open house on Saturday. They told me when we started planning to have it at the park that I should have an alternate plan in case of rain. It never rains in St. George was of course my comment. I checked the weather every day and it changed as often as I checked it. Well we all saw what happened that the rains and the winds did come. Thank goodness to the great best man Thomas who came and saved the day by finding a place to go inside. It all turned out great and I am grateful to all of you who pitched in and helped so much. It was a great day to be among friends and family. Now that all of children are married I don't know what the next step is other than loving all of the grandkids and their parents. Thank you Todd and Heather for the special day that you gave us the chance to share with you in the Temple. To have each one of our children there is really the greatest blessing that there is to us. We are truly blessed with the best children and your spouses that we could have. Who would ever have thought back on that day of June 10, 1977 that we would today end up with a family of twenty-five. And I am sure that the total will continue to increase (Hint- Hint Meagan and Heather).

We are right in the middle of our morning bike ride. Mom did great, I think she is about ready for the triathlon .

Allen's Biggest Loser Contest

I just wanted to show you all my before picture even though it causes me great pain to see myself this way. The holidays really did get the best of me. As you can see I have gained back some weight and I do not want to slip any further than I have already.
The Grand Prize for the Biggest Loser of all who would like to participate will be discussed after I know who all will be involved. We will go by the percentage of body weight lost.

I would like each one of you to please write down some memories that you have of Grandma Geddes for me, I need your memories to help me with my talk at Grandmas Funeral. Just so you all remember the Funeral will be this Saturday the 13th at Noon the viewing will be at 11:00. The funeral home is called Wasatch Lawn Memorial it is on Highland Drive and about 33rd south.

My Christmas Idea

I really feel that all of us have been very blessed in these difficult times that are around us, and I know a lot of people are really facing major hardships in their lives. Mom and I were just wondering if it would be better than to try and give alot to each other for Christmas if we should find someone close to each of us that could really use some special help at this time of the year? We will still give a little something to the Grandkids (that is a given) but I would really like to help those who need something special in their lives at this time. Please let us know what you think about this Idea! We love you kids and are looking forward to the next couple of weeks of being together.

The Famous Three

It has been a year and it is time to get back into action behind the boat and not just be the designated driver. Although I do enjoy doing that a lot. We had a great day yesterday at Sand Hollow. Mom even got into the water and it was not even that warm in the water. (I think you could say that was a modern day miracle)
